Irene Nelson APRN, PMHNP

Irene Nelson, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC), holds a Master of Science Degree in Nursing from Chamberlain University. With a background in emergency medicine and psychiatric care, she is skilled in assessing, diagnosing, and treating mental and behavioral health conditions in both adults and children. These conditions include, but are not limited to, depression, bipolar disorder, substance abuse, schizophrenia, ADHD, PTSD, and anxiety.

In addition to her professional credentials, Irene is also the co-owner of Serene Path Wellness. She has been a resident of Las Vegas since 2013 and has served 6 years of active duty in the Air Force as an Air Traffic Controller. Currently, she continues to serve in the Nevada Air National Guard as an Emergency Room Registered Nurse.

In her leisure time, Irene enjoys spending quality moments with her dogs, indulging in reading, and watching horror movies.

Freddy Valinia LCPC, MA

Farbod “Freddy” Valinia is the co-owner of Serene Path Wellness and a Licensed Professional Counselor holding a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Previously, Freddy worked as a therapist at a community health center, offering mental health counseling to individuals of all ages with socioeconomic and cultural challenges. With a focus on grief and bereavement, his hospice work exposed him to diverse psychological issues related to loss. Freddy also collaborated with Crisis Text Line, assisting with crisis interventions via SMS, particularly in cases of self-harm and suicidality.

Freddy prioritizes building a strong, trusting relationship with clients through warmth and acceptance in therapy. He employs a blend of Person-Centered, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to help clients explore and understand their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Through his life experiences, formal training, and personal therapy journey, Freddy has honed his skills as a compassionate and effective clinician, dedicated to supporting clients on their therapeutic journey.

Merlynn Ragsac APRN, PMHNP

Merlynn Ragsac is a dedicated and compassionate board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with a Master of Science Degree in Nursing from Chamberlain University. With over 22 years of experience in nursing, she has a deep understanding of mental health issues and a passion for providing high-quality care to individuals in need.

Merlynn's expertise in psychiatric nursing allows her to assess, diagnose, and treat a wide range of mental health conditions, helping her patients achieve optimal mental well-being. With a commitment to ongoing education and professional development, Merlynn is dedicated to staying current on the latest advancements in psychiatric care and treatment modalities.

In her practice, Merlynn prioritizes building strong and trusting relationships with her patients, working collaboratively with them to develop personalized treatment plans tailored to their unique needs. Her compassionate and holistic approach to mental health care, which focuses on treating the whole person, not just the symptoms, is a testament to her commitment to empowering her patients to lead fulfilling and meaningful lives.
